Centimetres, DPI and pixels
A form that describes a photo in centimetres is describing a printed size. A digital file only has pixels, so the link between the two is the DPI, the number of pixels per inch (2.54 cm):

The tool writes your DPI into the JPG’s header, so software that honours it will show or print the photo at the intended size. If the form states pixels rather than centimetres, choose “Exact pixels…” and the DPI doesn’t matter.
Preparing the photo
- Take it with the phone at eye level, against a plain light background, in even light.
- Leave space around your head: the tool crops from the centre to the required shape.
- Check the preview after resizing. If your head is cut off, crop the original so your face is in the middle and try again.
